Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on the Upper West Side

Getting You Back on Track with CBT Treatment

At Gordon Therapy Group we approach therapy with the goal of achieving tangible progress, working with clients to improve their daily lives. Our team of psychologists on the Upper West Side of New York uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to work with adults, teens, and children.  We specialize in anxiety and cognitive behavioral therapy for all ages.

CBT can help you improve your mood, reduce your anxiety, and enrich your relationships.

CBT is an evidence-based therapy which is action-oriented, short-term, and practical. It is a powerful tool for addressing OCD, anxiety, fear, depression, stress, relationship or identity issues, and traumatic memories.

Traditional therapy often focuses heavily on self-knowledge and insight. While self-knowledge is helpful, usually it is not enough to produce real, tangible improvement. If this has been your experience, it may be time for a new, more modern, type of therapy – one which is oriented toward action. Understanding yourself is just the beginning –  my team and I will do our best to help you take the steps which come after understanding and lead to growth. We pride ourselves on tracking the newest research data, and making sure to always engage in the most up-to-date treatments available to help you and your family. We also strive to create a safe space for members of the LGBTQ-IA, BIPOC, and other communities that experience discrimination, marginalization, and bias.

Group Therapy:

We offer SPACE Group treatment for parents of anxious children and teens. Group therapy can be both a way to augment and maximize an ongoing individual therapy, or a stand-alone treatment option, depending on your needs. In addition, group therapy offers a lower-fee opportunity for treatment. Contact us at info@gordontherapygroup.com to sign up.

Workshops and Presentations:

In addition to working with individuals, we offer workshops and training sessions for both mental health professionals and other groups. If your organization is looking for someone to answer questions about mental health, run a relaxation workshop, give a talk about parenting, or train employees in the use of CBT, please be in touch.
